The Old South Jamboree was started by Lester an Dee Hodges in the mid 1960’s It was started as a concert hall that the entire family could come to and enjoy good country music and a family environment. Most of the great artists have performed on the stage of the Old South including Merle Haggard, George Jones, Dolly Parton and many, many others. And now, some 45 years later, Mr. Hodges is still behind the snack bar providing hot dogs and pop corn, and it is still a venue that you can bring your entire family to.
